Energy, telecommunications and infrastructure

Seeing and operating what sits far from the grid.

Telemetry for remote installations, off-grid generation and storage, connectivity where there is no coverage, and OT cybersecurity by design rather than after the fact.

Sector challenges

What is putting pressure on the operation today.

01

Distributed assets nobody can see

Stations, switchrooms, tanks and metering points spread over tens of kilometres. Their state is known when somebody drives out there.

02

Where the grid does not reach, neither does the data

Without grid power or cellular coverage there is no telemetry to be had. Power and connectivity have to be solved before measuring, and that is usually the link nobody quotes.

03

Connecting OT widens the attack surface

Every connected sensor, gateway or PLC adds an entry point. The same integration that enables monitoring is what forces segmentation, authentication and backups.

Law 21,663

Chile's national cybersecurity framework, with incident management and security-by-design obligations proportional to risk for essential services and operators of vital importance.

04

Energy is a structural cost, not one more line item

Without measurement per point and per time band, efficiency gets discussed with the monthly bill, which is the worst possible instrument for deciding where to act.

What is being quoted

The projects this sector is asking for.

This is not a list of what we can do: it is what is being tendered and quoted in this industry right now. If your problem is on it, the conversation starts with context.

Telemetry for remote installations

Status, consumption, level and process variables at distributed points, with history and alerts, without depending on a site visit.

Off-grid generation and storage

Solar panels, storage and load management for installations, sites and vehicles where the grid does not reach or does not pay.

Links in areas without coverage

Radio link or a dedicated network towards a point with connectivity, with local storage so a link outage is not a data loss.

Consumption and power quality monitoring

Measurement per point and per time band, power factor and anomalous consumption detection, which is what lets you discuss tariffs with evidence.

OT cybersecurity

OT asset inventory, network segmentation, secure remote access with MFA, PLC and HMI backups, and anomaly monitoring on the industrial network.

How we work here

Our capability, applied to energy, telecommunications and infrastructure.

01

Field

Consumption, level and status measurement at each point, with panels, storage and an RTU where the metering equipment itself has to be powered.

02

Link

Cellular where it reaches, a dedicated link where it does not, and local storage at the point so no record is lost during an outage.

03

Platform

A single view of the distributed points with history, segmented from the corporate network and with accounts separated by role.

04

Decision

Warning before the outage rather than after, and field visits prioritised by what the measurement shows instead of by the scheduled round.

We start with a bounded pilot, build alongside your operations team and measure what matters. If we propose something, we can also implement it.

What it is measured against

The indicators are set before anything is installed.

A pilot without a baseline is no basis for a scale-up decision. These are the indicators the work is designed against, measured before starting so there is something to compare with.

Link availability
Percentage of time with data actually received, which is different from time with the equipment powered.
Specific consumption per point
Energy per unit of service at each installation, to compare points against each other.
Self-generated energy over total
How much of consumption own generation covers, measured rather than estimated from the panel datasheet.
OT assets inventoried
How many connected devices are actually identified, which is the starting point of any security work.

Frequently asked

What we get asked before the first meeting.

How do you monitor an installation without cellular coverage?

With a dedicated link towards a point that does have connectivity, and local storage in the field equipment. The record is kept at the point and synchronised when the link returns, so a communications outage does not become a hole in the history.

What does Law 21,663 mean for an industrial operation?

It establishes Chile's national cybersecurity framework, with obligations on incident management, cooperation and security by design, proportional to risk and more demanding for essential services and operators of vital importance. In practice it pushes towards inventorying OT assets, segmenting the network and being able to evidence how an incident is handled.

Can remote access to a PLC be given securely?

Yes, and it is better solved by design. Access through an authenticated jump host with a second factor, segmentation between the process and corporate networks, named accounts per person and a verified backup of the PLC program. Improvised remote access is the most common way in.

Is photovoltaics worth it for pumping?

It is worth it especially where consumption is daytime and surface is available. The decision is taken with the measured hourly profile of the point, not with the monthly average: two installations with the same bill can be very different cases.
